1945End of World War II.
1970 Japan Airlines establishes Guam and the Tokyo line.
1972 Former Japanese soldier's sergeant Shoichi Yokoi is discovered on Guam.

Latte Stone

A latte stone, a pillar capped by a hemispherical stone capital with the flat side facing up. Used as building supports by the ancient Chamorro people, they are found throughout most of the Mariana Islands. In modern times, the latte stone is seen as a sign of Chamorro identity and is used in many different contexts.

Eating habits of ancient Chamorro people

Chamorro people’s staple food was a dasheen and a bread fruit until Spanish immigrated to Guam in the 16th century.
